THE KITCHEN INITIATIVE (Since 2023): All of our guest checks include a voluntary Kitchen Appreciation Gratuity (KAG), which adds 2% to every check total exclusively to support of the hard work of our kitchen team - line cooks, dishwashers, and prep - and allows them to share in the restaurant’s success. The KAG goes directly to our Back-of-House team, it does not represent a gratuity to the dining room staff. Please let your server or bartender know if you’d like us to remove it from your check.

Common Question: Why should the guest pay this gratuity vs. just giving the kitchen staff a raise?

Our Response: We believe the Kitchen Appreciation Gratuity is the ideal solution to benefit our hard-working Back-of-House team while maintaining our current menu pricing. Instead of raising menu prices by one to two dollars, The alternative would be to raise our menu prices, which would affect your wallet more than this gratuity; for example, if we were to raise costs across the menu, a $100 tab would be closer to $110 (versus the $102 with this approach). It's also been a great moral boost to our hard-working crew.

ATTIRE: We encourage all our guests to respect our dress guidelines. We consider tank tops, flip flops, and team athletic attire (jerseys) too casual for Darfons. 

SPECIAL REQUESTS: While we will always consider special requests, modifications can impact the flow of the kitchen and service, and we may not always be able to honor them. 

ALLERGENS: Please notify our team of any allergies or dietary restrictions as our dish descriptions are often abbreviated.  

GUEST CHECKS: One check will be provided to parties of seven (7) or more guests. Split checks of equal value may be accommodated. A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties of seven (7) or more guests.    

CORKAGE FEE: A $20 per bottle (750ml bottle) corkage fee applies, with a two (2) bottle limit per table. Please note, we do not allow guests to bring in bottles that we carry in the restaurant.    

SPECIAL OCCASION DESSERTS: We welcome you to bring in cakes or any special desserts for celebrations, with a $2 per person plating charge.     

Additionally, Custom Cakes from The Crowning Bakery may be ordered at least 72 in advance; prices vary. Please contact the     restaurant via text at 615-840-1967 to discuss specifics.  

SEATING WINDOW: We may ask to move your party to an available bar table once a significant amount of time has elapsed (30 minutes or more) since the completion of your meal to honor the reservations and considerations of our waiting guests.       

CELL PHONE USAGE: We ask you to please refrain from talking on your phone inside the restaurant to minimize distractions to other guests.        

ACCESSIBILITY: We are committed to making our products and services accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. To accomplish this, Darfons Restaurant & Bar will implement relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) as its web accessibility standard to the greatest extent feasible.
